Would you think this is creepy?

This summer I dated my first real gf. I am 22 and she is 23. She has two kids, when I met her she was living with the father of the second, and left him shortly after. She moved to her moms until she could find a place. When she found a place she really wanted, she didnt have enough money for the damage deposit and needed a co signer on the lease. I co signed the lease and lent her the $1,100 so she could get the place. A few months after we broke up. I took my name off the lease and she paid me back $400, which is all she could manage (she is single with two kids). She always planned to pay me back, but the other day I told her she didnt have to pay back the rest. She was thankful, but I cant help thinking that she thinks its creepy, that im being too nice so she will remember me more or something, what would you think?
