Is this equal rights or stereo-typing?

You've heard the expression "equal pay for equal work." Also, when it comes to things like the military and police force, you would always find a military woman in a commercial (along with men.) If there was a commercial or joining the police there would be at least one woman in the commercial. However, if it was one of those "Broadview" (formerly "Brinks") commercials, only a man is the bad guy. When it comes to the drinking &driving commercials in which the man has beer flowing out of his window as he rolls it down; being stopped by the police- it's never a woman. I have nothing against a female police officer, or one serving our country (all should be proud.) My food for thought is that if a woman can fight for equal rights, wouldn't that also include the down-side?
