How do you turn a bubble shirt into a normal one?

I bought this bubble shirt (you know, the ones that are kinda poofy at the bottom) a while back and have barely worn it because I have grown to hate the bubble look. I like the shirt and want to "de-bubble" it. Any methods? I'm not afraid to use scissors...
