Hi frds, if we want to write vcd? which formate we have to convert? like .wmv .mpg .avi .mp4?

Friends, Last week i capture self video to show my family b'coz i am in Kuwait my family in India. I was uploaded my video in net and inform to my family to download it. but they had asked me that if they goto write in CD which formate need to see on TV. like .mpg .wmv .mp4 .avi. Cau tell me which formate is right to work on TV. I hope ur's helpful tips... Thank u.
