How can I learn to make a quilt for my daughter-to-be?
You can do a quilt correctly the first time if you select a simple block pattern and are precise in your sewing. I suggest that you go to JoAnn's and look at their quilting books, pick a simple design, use their fabric color suggestions or buy a kit that has the fabric included in it, ask for a little help and you'll be on your way. There are Quilter's Guilds in almost every state and if you're lucky and do a search for them in your state you may find a guild close by. The women in the guilds are very nice and love to share their skills and knowledge with beginners. Good luck with the quilt and know that it doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be from you.
